Fabric Cutting Knives

One of the summer jobs I had as a youth was working in a shirt factory. The guys up front used 'knives' to cut patterns from multi-layered stacked cloth. I remember them talking about how they made knives with the worn out knives. Wish I had been paying attention and better yet, had one as keep sake.

There is a lot of things I wish I kept as a kid! I the big bag of baseball cards I threw out.I know there was some monery there.

Yep, I remember those knives....... before Bush and Clinton together in their infinite wisdom decided we didn't need those "garment" type factories in this country..... My brother's wife had one they brought me to make them a knife with. They're happy with it, but seems like it was only low 50s Rc. It does sharpen easy {g}
