Doubling up spacers?

Will doubling up spacers be noticeable. Does the compression “erase the line”? Or is it highly not recommended.

Your answer is..... use colored pigment in your epoxy/glue. ;) If you're stacking two pieces of white spacer....use white pigment. If the spacers are black....use black pigment.....and so on.

When you look at an Ed Caffrey knife, you will almost always see one or more black spacers between the guard and handle material.....that looks seamless.... using that black spacer, along with black pigment in my Acraglas.... even if something is slightly "off"..... it's hidden. :)

A quote I often throw out is...... "The difference between a knifemaker...and a GOOD knifemaker is..... the GODD knifemaker knows how to minimize or hide the mistakes!" :)

Great tip and and even better quote.

Nice do you remember if those were 1/16 or 1/32?

1/16", The Black and White were all the same thickness. But I wanted the White to be thicker for the look I was going for, so I doubled them up. I was going to order thicker material but didn't want to wait to put an order in to make the shipping work for me. I would have done it Eds way with dye but again I didn't have it. I just used clear West System Epoxy.
