I was able to complete the bali for now. I say that because I might do a little more with it. I'd like to reprofile the blade a little (maybe) and I might have a friend engrave it. But for now I decided to keep it simple as my first time with titanium and not really having a good idea of how much would be too much to keep the latch and such working. Knowing what I know now, the next time I'm confident I can be much more aggressive. The knife itself is not sharpened yet, but it cleaned up easily. It works great and is by far the nicest bali I've ever owned.

I Know the pics aren't the best....I'm going to get a few more in the week. This is the best I can do at the moment. I just wanted to get something up as soon as possible.

I'd really like to go back and make the bottom where the latch is, thinner, smaller, more rounded. I just didn't want to get to close to the screws and latch. Maybe one day because it would really only be a quick job.

I've known a few basic moves for a while now. I've actually owned 2 other balisongs, one of which I still have and both cheap no namers....nothing like this. This is quality and I can immediately tell the difference. I've watched a few youtube videos and I'm practicing a few little extra moves. It's difficult at the moment though. I let my index finger knuckle get a little too close to a 40 grit ceramic belt a few weeks ago without my gloves on. It's not quite healed yet and makes it a little difficult.

first insider tip I've learned about making balisongs: make the spine rounded....don't leave a 90 degree edge like I would on my bushcraft knives. It doesn't cut, but it's like sandpaper after a minute.

I'm really torn. I like having this quality knife so much now that I really want to keep it as a show piece or similar. But at the same time, I'm in the small time here and a $160 kit is a lot of money in my knifemaking world at the moment. I'd love to sell it for nothing else but to fund another. It really was a treat getting the opportunity to do this.
