Detent Ball

When making a flipper do you use a larger detent ball , on the liner locks I've made I have used a 1/16 detent ball . I was wondering if by using a larger detent you would get a stronger release .

I'd use the same size. The stiffer release would come from how much of the ball you leave out and the depth of the hole that it falls into.

Johns right,a little bigger hole will swallow more of the ball and make the detention stronger.
