D Guard

[Wade Hougham]

This is the first D Guard I have ever forged. It is a combination of design by me and,mostly, my good friend KT. I would probably never attempted something like this without the heavy push from KT.
The knife is 13" long with a 7 1/2" blade forged from a 1978 Dodge 1 ton leaf spring. The guard is low carbon steel and the bolster and butt cap are wrought and the handle is mammoth ivory. The fantastic sheath was made by KT,

An open D guard, very hard to line up the two halves. This is done extremely well. Great attention to detail! Another home run by the Duo!

Thanks Bruce That's just a little of my collection and here's a pict.When I designed this D Guard and send it to Wade I thought he would have a heart attack . As you can see he did a OUTSTANDING job. It cant be any nicer and is the only one I have. The knifes I got of yours are in a totally different display. Enjoy. Terry alias KT
