Curly pine custom bread knife.

My source for this wood won't sell it,she supplied me some a few years ago to make an oyster knife for her. She recently gave me enough of this wood to make three of these knives, one of them must go to her. Curly pine is rare,I've never seen any other. She got this wood from her grandfather,he died in the 70's. He had a sawmill and his source for wood was the deadheads he would pull out of the rivers and bays around here. This curly pine was part of a log pin piling he pulled out of the Blackwater river in 1960, it was cut around the turn of the 20th century when pine timber was big business around here. It was sawn into lumber 53 years ago,no telling how old it is.
I finished this with one coat of true oil. I made the blade from one of my worn out bandsaw blades,I ground the serrations on the edge of the saw blade that had the teeth so all the old teeth are gone except a few on each end of the knife blade.
All questions, comments and criticsism are welcome.
Y'all enjoy!
