Chef Knife Done

It's amazing how the camera and lighting work together to find every minuscule micron-sized piece of debris and every errant scratch that you don't see during the 500 times you looked at the knife! Looks like you might have had to do some hand sanding after the blade was affixed to the handle. Such is life.

Beautiful work on this one. The combinations of woods and spacers in the handle is excellent.
 
That is pretty. What is the lighter wood. Maple burl.

It is a scrap piece of Maple Burl that I got from Gene Kimmi. I used the rest for a drop point Hunter I built. Scrap piece was so nice I couldn't bring myself to throw it out! Think it works good in this combination?
 
Thanks this one will be down the road soon!! I've been using it as a Poster Child for sales on FB and Instagram. Have had a lot of interest on it, more than my other knives combined I think!! I can tell you what I'll be making more chefs!!
