KNIFE MAKER
I have been retired for six months now and decided to take up knife making as a hobby. This is my latest knife with micarta handles and red fiber liner. I used stainless steel pins and tubing for the handle.

I like that style a lot! How do you attach the liners? Do you just Epoxy them to the Micarta then attach them? I just finished my first and the next one might get this type of treatment!

I epoxy the liners first, but it has to go on super super smooth. Make sure you have something like an old debit card to spread the epoxy very evenly. Let it dry. Then epoxy your handle material (full scale if possible) to the liner material. Let dry. This is probably all wrong, but it's what I do.

That's pretty funny!! I love the honesty!!

I shaped the scales roughly to shape and then cut the liner oversized on the scales. I then epoxied and clamped them up. After the epoxy cured I sanded the liners to the shape of the scales. I did the finish shaping and sanding when the scales were installed and cured on the knife.
