Camel Bone Scales, To seal or Not to seal?

Should I seal camel bone scales? If so with what? I usually finish my wood scales with Tung or Tru-Oil.

Contact Boone Trading Company and look up their Cutler's and Carver's Glue. This stuff is used to prep bone for scrimshaw inking without the ink smearing through the pores in the bone.
