Bob Loveless - 41 Individual Knives + Collage

Just finished up this extensive project for knife maker Dr. David Taber (www.drtknives.com) and his collection of Bob Loveless knives. He is planning on eventually selling or trading these knives and the first step is good photos of each, which is where I played my part. The collage was just a fun side project to showcase the entire collection in one view which he's having printed on a 24" x 36" canvas material that's framed and ready to hang on the wall. It's being printed as I'm posting these pics and we're both pretty excited to see how it turns out. I'll have him take a picture of it when he's got it hanging on his wall at home and add it to this thread. Anyways, here's the knife photos:

(click on the image for the hi-res version...IT'S HUGE SO IT WILL TAKE A WHILE TO DOWNLOAD)

This was a great project to work on...it was a TON of work but I'm pretty happy with the results, and more importantly, David Taber - the collection's owner - is VERY pleased with the results. Hope you enjoy the images!

There are some excellent and early examples of the Late RW Loveless's knives and great pictures too!

Cory,
I can't imagine what it would be like to hold that much history in your hands!
Being able to hold one of his knives would be such an honor so awesome!
I'M ALMOST AT A LOST FOR WORDS! That's just thinking about it, if I actually got
close to one, or any of the other greats in (what I consider out history, those that
came before us that truly paved the way for all that ever attempted to make a knife,
and eventually found the words left behind, by the greats! It amazes me everyday
that I make knives, that I have this ability to craft a knife that can become a favorite knife
of someone or possibly a family heirloom! It is all of those greats that made knives when
no one knew it was possible that a knife could still be made by talented hands!
It still amazes me that I have that ability! But I know and always do my best to give thanks to
those that paved the road of knowledge, that made it a given that you pass on that knowledge
no matter how you got it, you still pass it on! It was all those guys that made it possible that that
knowledge was share with me! And a big part of the how and why all the Dogs here share so much info
so easily! It is such a honor to be a part of something so huge! So important to our country's history!
I do my best to be worthy of inclusion to such a n elite group!
