Beware of calls about Blade Show reservations

"The Montana Bladesmith"
Over the past two days, I have received a total of 4 phone calls, asking if I have completed my reservations for the 2015 Blade Show! In each case I asked the individual for their full name, and the name of their company....and was promptly hung up on. I just checked my email and received the below from the Blade Show......
The Blade Show has designated EventSphere as the only housing provider for the Blade Show 2015. There are fraudulent companies and organizations that will try to present themselves as official partners of Blade and offer you a potential room that might not be guaranteed or available. Should you be contacted by someone other than EventSphere, please let us know by
When booking with EventSphere while using the online reservation link or calling 855-547-8429, you can expect to receive an immediate confirmation e-mail.

EventSphere will never call you directly to book a reservation. The only reason EventSphere would call you are:
· If you called and left a message wanting a returned call
· If there is a problem with an existing reservation
· If someone from BLADE Show management told EventSphere to contact you, for example, “Amy, with Blade show passed along your info…”

Thank You,

I replied to the email, asking how it is that personal contact information was acquired by these fraudulent outfits...... I can understand the exhibitor list, but unless the scammers have a huge network, mining our person data, I find it unlikely that a single, or a few individuals would take the time to search for and locate the entire exhibitor list's contact info.

By the way.....if you've not made your reserations for the 2015 Blade Show, yet....better get on it! The Waverly has been booked since Oct., and when I booked my rooms a week ago with the Shearton, they told me they were nearly booked for those dates.
