Are these real ???

I came across some Micarta stock from a old knife maker that I offered for sale on another platform. Someone wrote and said they were not real because they have never seen anything like it before in Micarta. I'm puzzled because they came from a craftsman who passed away back in the early 90's and his family just recently decided to clean out his shop. Some say it's authentic and 1 individual says not, so what's your opinion.

Micarta will patina. The darker color is the outer bark that reacted to light exposure over the years. It's real.

It is real and very cool
Those knives are absolutely stunning. I have some of the very micarta that is pictured on those knives, it's like a chocolate brown. I just didn't get to post a picture of that particular color. I will post it on ebay soon to see if there is any interest. Thanks for the reply.

I see you have them up for auction. I don't do any work in micarta but I'll keep an eye on your auctions. I might just change my mind.
