Any advice about carbon fiber pins?? Got a knife in the planning stage and want to know if it hard to work with or not??

Not hard to work with at all. It does produce super fine dust that can work it's way into your handle material. Most notable with light colored micarta.

Boss, lets me know how to wack em off!

luciusx5, that is the kind of feedback I was looking for.

Sean if you like I am sure I will as well!!

Thanks guys I have just never used them but I have a blade and handle material that is calling for them!!

cut them to length with a metal band saw and then grind flush like any other pin.

Make sure you're wearing a respirator when grinding any kind of CF.
TRIPLE DITTO!!!

With the condition of my lungs, I can't use CF anymore....of course unless I wanna kill myself. Carbon Fiber is one of the most toxic, health damaging substances we use in knifemaking. If you can't stay clear of it, for the love of Pete....PLEASE protect yourself from it!!
