and yet another inquiry about etching

I know the info has been on here before but I can’t find it! I have a 110 to 12 volt power converter, will it work as an etching machine?

Yes, to some extent, if it is a DC output you probably won't get a blackened mark, just a frosty color. I have used one of the DC converters to etch with Qtip dipped in salt water, and one aligator clip, the negitive one, to the Qtip just above the tip, and just pat, pat, pat, until it gets etched. Then to blacken it use an AC transformer from Radio Shack, I think mine run about $10.00. I have switched to a Personalizer Plus recently, to have a variable output, and the pad applicator, not sure that it was worth the cost.
Hope this helps, Dale
