DIY Belt grinder for sale,
I have build 7 of these grinders using Jeremy Schmidt's construction plans, with upgrades to design. This grinder has a 2 HP 3 PH motor with VFD for converting 220 Volt AC standard house voltage. The VFD has a remote control panel which can be located away from the grinder itself for on/off and speed controls.
Construction is 2” square tube, 2.5” square tube with 1/4” wall, and 3/8”plate. Most of the grinder is Powder coated for looks and easy cleaning. Aluminum wheels with sealed bearings one is used as a tracking wheel and is fully adjustable for aligning the belt while in use. This is commonly called a knife grinder, not being a knife makerI use it as a standard shop grinder for many projects. The platen can be removed for a slack belt type grinding to shape metal. It has a table for a flat surface to maneuver what is being ground, which can be adjusted to a 45 degree angle. The grinder can be rotated from a horizontal to a vertical (90 degree) to change the grinding direction relation to the table. Comes with 2 new belts for the grinder. Price is 1000. cash picked up at my location only.
