1 x 30 ceramic platen ?

I have had fireplace glass platens cut by glaziers and have heard of folks getting theirs cut at fireplace shops. It is going to depend on how accurate they are in cutting it. Too wide or narrow is a real pain in the patoot. Make sure and have them “lightly break the edges“ so it isn’t quite so sharp and you may even consider getting the top of the piece rounded where the belt will run over it. It’s much easier for them with thier diamond abrasives and a real pain with the usual home grinding belts.
