    best way to put spacer on tang?

    The vaseline will keep any glue from sticking where you don't want it. There will usually be a small seam of glue at the front of the scales....I use a tool I made from a brass rod (1/4", sharpened to a needle point) to "pop" off any glues that seeped out the front of the scale/tang joints...

    Thanks for the compliments.Yes the front of the scale are kind of thin,I originally did not plan on them being that thin at the beginning,I did not pay close enough attention to them when cutting the scales and how they would come out finnished,I will next time.
