I'd say you may even be able to use it in slip joints, once the mechanics are all done with the liners, you would be able to have scales with no screws or pins showing! I'd not thought of using it for slip joints but I think it may still be usable! My goal is for linerlocks to show zero...

Made a little tool for hidden hardware, been wanting to do this for years. This will potentially be a game changer for my folder builds. Both active and future. i have just the right style build to try it on at the moment as well.

Using your tutorial I was able to complete a good functioning version of this, thank you for all the great information you put out. This was just a proto/proof of concept in AEB-L, will transition to Damascus as time permits

Made some cu mai finally, this was attempt 2 and it worked great. Used 50100 as the core and laminant steel. First attempt I got the billet too hot and tried to forge it on its side and split it open. Lesson learned there!

Relined it tonight. Hopefully done with it soon. Might build another one out of firebricks since I have 12. Still going to add a slide rail for fire bricks on both sides

Working on rebuilding my forge! Have made a lot of damascus as of late, and needed a relining, but decided to totally revamp it and build a stand for it while I was at it

If you're making a recommendation to a customer, I think these are a great cost effective option. Consistent results, minimal skill and minimal effort.
