Just want to know if anyone can help me to identify this dagger

That almost resembles a Rondel dagger. Meant for stabbing through armor, etc. I can't tell from the picture but in order to be a Rondel it would need a pretty thick triangular blade. Only really sharp at the tip. If not, then it would be some sort of reproduction of a Roman Gladius style dagger.

    ArmorAll finish giving me fits

    1) I just grab the ArmorAll original. 2) No, the armorall should still be wet. You spray it on (light, just wet) and then immediately do the Tru-oil 3) I put my finger in a t-shirt and dip that into the tru-oil and get a spot about the size of a dime. (use gloves). Then go all around the handle...

    ArmorAll finish giving me fits

I use the tru-oil/armorall finish. From the sounds of it you are using too much tru-oil. It should dry to a lightly tacky feel in about 15 minutes. Then it's ready for the next coat. I do a light "spritz" of armor all on each side, spread it thin. Then using a Tshirt and my finger I dip into...

    Help me ID this wood

Run it on your grinder and see what it smells like. Ironwood has a distinct smell (not great), mesquite is recognizable, etc.

    Whats going on?

I haven't been around as much recently either. I noticed the drop off in activity awhile back. Maybe with inflation being the way it is, not really any spare money to pickup another hobby? Hard to understand though, since we're all getting super rich as knife makers! Sorry to hear about the...

Another vote for Bos. The larger your "batch of same steel" the better the price.

    OPauls Knife Picture Thread

The gcarta stuff is nice. I have a few laying around and I did a filet knife awhile back. They have a few instagram videos on how to best use it - sanding, finishing, etc. I was using some of the higher grit sandpaper that was black and it kept darkening the material. Same goes for whatever...

What was is your AhHa moment?

Getting the scales to line up when doing hidden pins. Attach the first scale, then drill pin holes/glue pins, when dry put a little paint on the pins touch the second scale and it marks where to drill on the second scale.

    Pin finish question

I misunderstood. I thought you wanted to keep the texture that was on the pins and was just giving my opinion saying I would sand them to smooth. Tape should definitely do the trick. Other options for "next time", maybe consider hidden pins? That way you don't have to even risk the texture of...

    Pin finish question

Are they just solid stainless? I would probably sand them until mirror/no scratches.
