It's not the kydex that scratches the blade, its the debris that gets trapped in the sheath. I usually put a layer of painters tape on the blade before forming the sheath to give just enough space so the the debris that will inevitably gather in the sheath over time wont scratch the blade. I...

My EDC hasn't changed in about 5 years it's a Benchmade Snody Gravitator. I love the fact it makes a good impact tool closed and it opens smooth as silk with a flick of the wrist. It also is shaped nearly identical to my fixed blade (a Custom Snody Warmonger) so it flows in a similar manner.
