    The skinner is 1/8" CPM154 and the scales are stabilized Maple Burl. 31/4" blade and 75/8" OAL. The filets are 3/32" CPM154 and one of the handles is Cocobolo, the other is stabilized, dyed Camel Bone. Blades are 6" and OAL is 103/4". www.waltscustomknives.blademakers.com

    D2 I have used D2 from multiple suppliers and have found that the edge retention varies from one supplier to the other.

    It is!!!! A sharp 220 grit belt and then followed by a scotchbrite belt works as good as you will find when tempered. It is not all that bad to sharpen, but it is expensive. It does do a great job on edge retention.
