    KT and ME

WOW!!!!! What fine craftsmanship on those beauties. I think I still have a very long road ahead of me before I would even try to attempt to take on a project like that. Way to go Wade very fine work indeed. Robert

    All tucked in

All tucked in. Just finished the sheath for this little bad boy. Couldn't decide on what kind of sheath so I went with a traditional sheath which is used by many South Texas Ranchers made popular by Moore Maker Knives.

A meat cutter project almost complete

Not yet Laurence but it should make a very short order of it. I left weight on the tip to make it very easy to do just that.

A meat cutter project almost complete

Almost done with my meat cutter project called the "CARNICERO". The blade is hollow ground from D2 which is hardened and cryo'd down to 60 rc. OAL is 9 1/8" and the blade length is 4 1/2". The handle material is cocobolo and it has vine file work on the spine. Still needs a bit more sanding to...

It took me several attempts before I could finally complete one. This was a self taught project so...

    Just some starter questions

Nick, I agree with Laurence you will need to invest in a 2x72' belt grinder. I use a kmg belt grinder with a VFC controller and for me its the best. As far as steel goes you wont be able to achieve the temps to get the proper heat treat using the mapgas torch. Different steels require...

    "CARNICERO" being born

Here are a few pics of my latest project. I tried to make a small meat cleaver type with a little flare. The handle material I chose is cocobolo wood to withstand any moisture during cleanup. The blade is D2 steel heat treat and cryo'd to 60 RC. Any suggestions are always welcomed. More pics to...
