PayPal, GunPal, GPal, who's yer Pal? Aaaarrrggghhh! Not again?!

It has been over two months now and my money still has not been transferred from GPal. I did receive the following email from GPal today: Dear Michael Carter, As some of you may be aware of, GPal has been experiencing growing pains that are typical of a startup business in an industry that...

    Stupid question #1

I think they are. I know the plans are available to build your own and I think Tracy sells everything you need. I'm sure somebody will chime in that knows more about them than me.

    Stupid question #1

I seldom see them advertised at a sale price. You can sometimes get a deal by buying the grinders that they bring to shows. They would rather give you a deal than haul it back home. I bought Gil's old one we he bought a new one. Baders are good workhorse machines but there are several...

    Reconstituted stone?

I have used a lot of recon stone on my little neck knives. It is very brittle and will chip or crack easily. Most of the danger is when you are drilling and pinning it. Once it is securely attached to the a full tang I think it is pretty stable. Dropping it on a concrete floor would probably...

How do I remove scratches without a beltgrinder or real buffer

You can get scothcbrite wheels and belts that will give a nice sating finish. They aren't real cheap. It will be hard to get an even finish on an assembled knife becuase the guards or handle will get in way.

    Micarta experimentation

We found that the curing process will melt wax paper and may do the same with garbage bags. The expoxy we use gets HOT when it starts to set up. We have seen it smoking so much we were afraid it was going to burst into flames. The freezer bags have worked best for us. I think because they are...

You can get the little buffing wheels and compound for Dremel tools that will remove small scratches.
