    First Straight Razor

Beautiful Kelly! I've been really wanting to make a straight lately but unfortunately just don't have the right grinder for it. I'm jealous of you guys that have room for a real grinder! One day (when I'm done with med school and out of a flippin apartment) I will have a shop where I can...

    Official KITH knife photo thread

That's exactly how I feel! I keep looking at my blade trying to decide if I should do any more to it and I keep having to stop myself before I screw it up!

    Official KITH knife photo thread

My 2nd knife so please be gentle... Sorry the pic ain't so great. There are a lot of mistakes but as many people said, it's supposed to be the best you can do and something you're proud of and it fits those qualifications so I hope I'm okay in entering this... Anyway, here she is, a 1080...

    Christmas in july KITH 2010

I feel the same way about mine, it's knife #2 for me. When I posted that I wasn't sure about entering mine I got like 7 PMs reassuring me that its not a contest, it's a chance to get some good feedback from somebody else handling your knife and a chance to get to handle somebody else's, for...

    Christmas in july KITH 2010

Well I think I'm going to back out. I finished a knife (my second) and I just don't think its up to snuff. I'm happy with the sheath and handle but I'm not happy with the blade. I was really hoping to get in on this one but I just don't know if this is up to par with what I'm seeing you guys do.

    Ghost olive drab G-10

I haven't tried it yet but I used some of this same G11 (margarita green from JatMat) and I didn't like how it showed steel underneath the scales; Dan Koster said that if you bead blast the scales you won't have the ghosting to it and it will make them a little more grippy.

    Tracking problem on Delta 1x42

Hey guys, I have a Delta SA180 (1x42) and one of my stock wheels exploded the other day so I ordered some aluminum wheels to replace them (and a new beefy platen). Anyway, after getting the wheels aligned I cannot for the life of me get it to track correctly, no matter what I do it runs about...

    Why?

Wow! That really looks great! Looks like a nice warm wood that flows nicely (like a lighter ironwood). Thanks for the pics! I might have to try to find some of that around here, I would love to pick up a set of scales and give it a try...

    Why?

Hey Jerry, would you mind posting some pics of the wood you put through the planer? I've never seen a knife with dogwood and am interested to see what it looks like. Sounds like it would be a great potential scale option, I'm very interested to see how it works out!

Knife #8 WIP - For the Lamb Boys

If he doesn't he's crazy! I like the extra touches, like the red liners. I know liners are used by a lot of makers, and are sometimes overused, but I really like the subtle red line that adds a little extra character. I also like that you went with natural bone instead of dyed, I think it...

    Certified Cold Rolled 5160

Sounds like at the dimensions you're talking this is more for the big dogs. No band saw here so I'll have to back down.

    Certified Cold Rolled 5160

I would really be interested, but as a hobbyist I would really only be looking at buying a couple feet so I'm not sure if I'd be able to get in on it...

    Best job on a 1x30?

I don't have a 1x30 but I do have a Delta 1x42... No, it's not ideal but this is a hobby for me and it's what I could afford. I am a med student and when I'm not in school/studying or spending time with my wife and kids I like to have hobbies that have nothing to do with med school and knife...
