Here is the first casting of the full handle. Its ok but not exactly how I wanted it-- still learning. The pewter makes it heavy on the back side , but it sure looks cool!!!! Ill try another way as soon as I get another one going. Once I get this dialed in-- watch out...

OK--here was the first try-- not sure if I am going to go this way or not-- solid pewter handles did these in 2 halves. I am making a mold to do it in a solid cast. Will see how it turns out. I am getting all the stuff together to do the handles in bronze or brass...

On my wayback there now and will jump on this as soon as I get there.

go to ebay and search for a vendor called matchless antiques. He has fields full of them. Shipping is reasonable also. Just got a 225 from the 1800's from him for $300. He is close (kinda) to me so I picked it up. Ask for Steve and tell him Clay sent ya!!!
