I like it! I recently did a less complicated billet of damascus by hand so I have some respect for the amount of work that went into that blade.

Are you sure your not thinking of Ernie Grospitch? Although, I am betting Ernie Swanson has good service as well. I just haven't heard of him doing stencils.

Be sure to let us know how you use the info and how well it works. I like the idea of using polls. Dan Koster has used them several times when designing knives and many of the people contributing to the polls seem to also be the ones buying them.

Interesting poll. Another thing to consider is pricing in relation to options. If you ask which people would rather have a really high end engraved damascus peice or a swiss army knife they will probably say the high end knife. However, they will likely already own three swiss army knives...

You've got some nice knives there. Those chisels from Japan look very nice as well!

A fresh 60 grit finish cleaned with acetone should do the trick.
