It isn't JB weld. It is soft feels kind of like a pencil eraser. I am not sure exactly what it is, but it seems like maybe someone on iforgeiron had some. Maybe it was Glenn?

Here are the hammers I ended up with. A pair of Hofi's on is the 3 lb. cast model and the other is the 2.2 lb. forged hammer. I haven't had the chance to use them yet, but I am looking forward to it. p.s. I would still like to see more cool hammers...

Well, I ended up ordering a pair of genuine Hofi hammers. One is approximately 2.2lbs. and is forged. The other one is his 3lb. cast hammer. If you need me I will be standing next to my mailbox.

He does make some cool hammers. I like the idea of a diagonal peen.

I just had a birthday the other day and have been thinking about treating myself to a new hammer. :D (That is if I don't get sidetracked by a new knife or gun first.) So anyone have a cool hammer? Don't forget pictures and links if you've got them. Hofi? Caffrey? Goo? That one that is carved...
