    My concern is using 2 hardwoods un-stabilized Im worried about the joint in regards to shrinkage I will wax or oil the handle I just want to avoid any pitfalls. Once I do a couple Ill start using my stabilized pieces. I was even considering some kydex for the joint.

    Has anyone used stainless banding? It seems soft to bend. I want to try a handle with two different woods with the banding in the joints. I realized I had banding machine a few boxes 1 and 1/2 ss banding.I see some use thin leather for the joint or wood to wood

    Question Noga mc1700

    I just ordered a Noga mc1700 mister. Are there a selection of preferred belts with a wet grind system. I heard gator belts don't like to get wet, anything else I should consider?? belt wise.

    Keeping in mind this is a hobby. I never thought about shipping a knife and how to do it. I cant remember who posted it, the box idea was awesome, THANK YOU. I had the scraps and the foam. I could have fit 2 in a medium flat rate box. I feel absolutely confident this will arrive safely.
