    Grizzly 1" x 42" w/8" disc

    I have one of these on order and was wondering what type / grit belts I should order for handle shaping, sharpening, etc. Also, has anyone used this type of grizzly? If so, what do you think of it. Thank you for your time and patience with simple questions. Bill

    Thinking about a Benchtop Milling Machine

    Get one with a dove tailed column and has a knee. This allows for the work table to be raised making set-ups easier and the dove tailed column is much more rigid and accurate. Good luck. Bill

    Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have ordered some sanding drums and a mandrel. A rat tail file, cratex and sand paper will be used also. Bill

    I don't have a knife grinder so I will have to go with a dremel or die grinder of some sort. I can't think of the name of the arbor. Is it "expandable arbor"? Thanks for the replies. Bill

    What do you guys use to grind the radius on the finger guard to flow into the handle material. Would the cylindrical sanding bands used on an arbor be the thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Bill

    Filing versus Grinding

    With all things being equal, would a blade blank that was filed only, have less chance of warping than a blade that was ground? I am talking 01 steel and professionally heat treated. Thanks. Bill
