I just put in a dust collector and have it piped to the grinder and surface grinder 10000% improvement . I have not had to clean the grinding room since . Harbor Fright , I don't use the collection bag I just piped it outside

I will look at the bar stock that I have I believe there's a stock number on it and when I checked I thought it was aluminum bronze . We used these to make bearing slides on some of our larger presses.

Another thought , is your edge up or down , this can make a difference as your floor can act as a heat sink.

Opaul , to dome the second side I cut the pin to length with about .040 to .045 extra and rounded off. Then I position the domed side on my anvil and then using a small ballpein hammer and a lot of patients I dome the other side.

This is my final glue up with an Oak handle. As you can see I use a dummy pin that is lubed for easy removal , after the epoxy sets I will remove the pin and replace it with a domed pin. ,
