What's going on in your shop?

I added a lock insert and a bunch of chamfers I used to do by hand. I was able to hit the lockbar cut and round off the handle where the lockbar disengages so its not sharp. I also used more dedicated finishing tools to require less post process clean up.

End Mill for Bearing Pockets in Ti

If you don't have one, I highly recommend a quill DRO. It will get the pockets dialed in one try. If you end up going the cb route ticonnector and usa knifemaker sell great ones.

End Mill for Bearing Pockets in Ti

Definitely dont run wide open. Stick to 300 ish rpm. Be sure to use coolant. If you are using an endmill use a smaller one with a rotary table. Endmills dont have a perfectly flat bottom by design so a plunge cut wont leave a flat floor on the pocket. Sounds like you just need a better...

    My PayPal alternative!

I also found that. This particular option does allow it. Thats how I send invoices. Through authorize.net. customers can pay via cc with no account. They just click a link and enter the info. It works the same as PayPal.

    My PayPal alternative!

Below is a little writeup I did when I was determining if a PayPal alternative was financially viable. It is written from the perspective of a Canadian so there are some additional exchange rates and international fees being assessed but I think some of this info is still valuable to people in...

What's going on in your shop?

Thanks. All these bevels are milled on my cnc. This is just the effect I chose to go for. I may do some hand ground ones down the road but this helps me keep my prices down. Each step is about .0035" if I am remembering correct.

Can i get a proper heat treat without kiln

Unfortunately I think the short answer is no. You may get a decent heat treat the odd time but its not consistent or repeatable. Alot of variables at play. If you're not selling them then I wouldn't worry but if you are I would outsource until you can afford a kiln and a proper hardness tester...
