Welcome aboard!

Finally got a knife done! This was supposed to be for Christmas (and I'm not saying which Christmas :rolleyes: ) Wood is Koa Blade is 1075 with a wisp of a Hamon Sheath is Water Buffalo.

I talked to both the Hot Shot dealer and the Evenheat dealer at the last Blade Show West. While I don't remember the details I came away with the impression that the Evenheat ovens are a much better value. Just my two cents

Looks like the same one I have. I have a Goatee and it works well with that. I used to have a full beard and in the interests of a better fit on a respirator I went down to a Goatee.

Finally have this knife finished just needs to be sharpened and logo.

Recently upgraded my home made 2 x72 grinder with a new frame and (finally) a tool rest. The tracking is much better now. I've also been working on some other upgrades and cleaning up the shop.

I do feel better. For me at any rate, some sharing seems to help. You might look for a support group in your area. And one day at a time is the only way to go.

I've been hanging around a lot but not posting either. I'll post some things soon. I've made a few improvements in my shop and have a finished knife to show. Part of the reason I haven't follows. This last year has been very difficult for me. After a very long illness I lost my wife of 30 years...
