Ok I am venturing out and would like to make some stainless san mai with a Damascus core. I am not sure how to go about this. Is it just like making san mai. or do I have to take any extra steps since I am now integrating stainless into the mix?

Ed I have heard you say this before and tried the mothers. I am not sure if I got the wrong wax or what but it alwyas leaves a gritty residue and leaves a hazy finish even after wiping it off. I ordere both the flitz and ren wax and am going to see which works better.

I did. I went to 1000 grit before buffing to try and level everything out.

Ok here is my delema. I put a carbon fiber handle on this knife when I snaded it to levelo everything out it didnt level the carbonfiber evenly and it looks funny to me. Is there anyway to get eveything back to being level or am I stuck with it this way?

Ok thanks, I would think that these solutions would then dull it back but I will give it try. The colors I am seeing the worst results on are the white and the orange.

Can someone give me some tips on polishing g10. Everytime I get it sanded down and start to buff it all that compound gets lodged in any crevis especially in the edges of the handle and I cant get it out without sanding it again. How do I solve this problem of polishing and keeping the handle...
