Can anyone recommend a good place online to order smaller (e.g. 12" x 12" or so) pieces of tooling leather for making knife sheaths? I'm thinking I want 7-9 oz? I went online looking and was surprised that I wasn't finding much. thanks, andy

I would say yes... I recently got a Milwaukee portaband and set it up in a Swag table and find the foot pedal very convenient. Andy

Agreed! There’s something oddly satisfying about first sanding back the handle material flush to the spine of the blade on a full tang knife. I think it’s partly because the handle material comes off so fast and easy compared to the many many hours already spent grinding and sanding the steel...

I'm not sure how thick the wall is on an air compressor as I've never cut one open. It's probably not as thick as a propane tank, but I'd bet it's plenty thick enough. I think it just needs to be able to hold its shape (once the ends are cut off) because you'll then line it with Kao-Wool and...
