    Coywolf in progress

I love the wolf but I think it looks a bit too big. I also love lanyard holes so I don't know what to tell you! Great looking blade though!

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

I only bought the 20 PSIG regulator as it was the only one I could find to fit the dual tank adapter. But then I didn't really know! Woo hoo, I just received and email that my thermo couple plug and cable has shipped! Hopefully I will finish up the gas tomorrow and get the end caps sorted out...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Excellent point! Though my regulator is 20 psi I'm probably over testing! I thought about a slightly bigger drill bit but I erred on the side of caution needlessly probably because of the near zero pressure at the blower! No, I've never brewed beer though it has always fascinated me. I prefer...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Long day, busy with little accomplished it seems. First I worked on leak testing my gas manifold and I had leaks aplenty! I worked on and off on this most of the day with fixing and retesting several different leaks. And after testing at the end of the day I find I have 1 more leak which I...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

It's definitely dry here. Monsoons are pretty crazy at times though, you could fill a couple thousand gallon tank in an hour or two off an average roof. Though very few actually do water harvesting. We have never actually used our tank but for plants and the dogs water is hooked up to it...

Thanks Ken, I can't wait to fire it up! We live just outside of Tucson in Pima County which just confirmed it's first case. I've been staying home as much as possible lately but you still have a few trips occasionally.

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Another short day in the shop, got quite a bit done though it doesn't look like it! I really just reworked the control panel. Fairly happy with it though it looks a bit cramped to the left side but I needed room on the right side for the power outlet and plugs. Also I had to twist my gas...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Didn't get much time to work on the forge, a couple hours maybe. My 1/4" NPT tap still hasn't arrived. Also I found out that Omega has back ordered my thermo couple cable and connector. They aren't sure when it will ship! Here a picture of where I was messing around with the placement of the...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Well I spent a lot of time in the shop and was quite busy but it seemed as though I accomplished very little. I 'think' I have finished the air system, all screwed together and sealed up. Everything bolted down in place and pretty solid. Thought I was going to have to add a third muffler clamp...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Well I put in a lot of time today without a whole lot of real work done accomplished. I built another muffler clamp bracket as that piping is heavy but with just the 2 clamps it seems to be pretty rigid. Also built an adjustable (for now) cross support for the blower. Other than that I mostly...

    New addition to my shop

Awesome press! Coal Iron Works make good equipment. I have their 16 ton fast press, it's really outstanding!

Though I must admit if it turns out kinda cool it might be a shame not to paint it! Sometimes I'm just so indecisive!

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Oh Ken such an evil word! I hate paint! I'm no good at it and everything I've ever painted has turned out like crap. I can spray pretty well but it never really sticks. I didn't really plan to paint it. I live in Tucson Az, paint is optional and rust is almost non-existent. Though I might paint...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Pretty much a bust today for productivity. I did manage to go to Industrial Metals Supply and pick up some 14 gauge sheet metal from the remnants area. $22. Got the sheet metal cut and pop riveted it down... https://drive.google.com/open?id=1U8CSfMdFIhrpGTQvX6jfuxJ21kikb7rO I got several...

    Diagram for Ed Caffrey

I was thinking about this as well. I think maybe I'd try slotting all the tubes down the middle for about an inch deep and an 1/8" wide and then using some 1"x1/8" flat bar in the slots start welding from the littlest tube outwards. TIG would be nice to minimize the weld size. Maybe something...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Thanks Ken! Yes and yes and it is a long pipe run almost 70" in total, I can reduce that if needed! Me neither, once I figure out the manufacturer maybe I can ask. Yes I do! Me too! I did PM Ed, perhaps he'll give some input. Regardless I really appreciate you sticking by me through this...

My forge build.....WIP......it's going to take a while!

Somewhat productive day, didn't really get as much done as I had hoped. First I screwed down the upper and lower plywood shelves. It just needed done. Then I cut the end cap holes with an angle grinder, managed to set my shirt on fire...
