You don't need a hole in your bench unless you test very thick or high work. The hole is for the adjusting screw when you move the work pad way down.

When designing a folding knife, you should show all positions: open, half open, and closed. That will eliminate any fitting errors that can't be noticed on the open view. I always drew a circle around the pivot and made the 3 positions fit the circle.

Box one of tooling and accessories. I think I have spent on more them than the mill cost me! LOL That's always true when you buy a milling machine. It takes a lot of tools and accessories to use it.
