    My first custom folder!

Matt has worked a long time to bring his own knife design and level of fit and finish to the community. This one has ball bearings for smooth easy opening blade that locks super solid but easy to unlock. Notice the lack of screws? Only the pivot and clip screws are visible, the rest are inside...

    Don't be jealous of me.

Calvin thanks for the picture. You are very tall in comparison but I got you on belt size. Really enjoyed fingering your slip joints and taking notes on your high level of precision thanks for the knife makers guild application. You guys will be a good influence on my fit and finish

Bruce D. Bump MS: "Scar Maker" Dagger (Ultra Hi-Res Image)

Thanks much fellow dogs. I enjoy making double edge knives, especially the blades. This one has a frame that was lathe turned with the scales super glued in place. My first attempt at this method.

How long you been making knives?

Ed, you are the first full time knife maker I met. You had a tremendous influence on me when we were next to each other at the Oregon show back in about 1990. I couldn't even get a table of my own but shared a table with a knife handle supplier. I was going to pay him but I never sold anything.

Bruce D. Bump MS: "Scar Maker" Dagger (Ultra Hi-Res Image)

Thanks much my friends. Compliments always give me fuel to keep going. Justin, I am trying to talk the owner into bringing it to the show. This one could do well in the judging I think. Do you have a table again this year?

    Matchlock Axe/Pistol

Hi Scott, Here is as far as my pictures went. I did acid etch the barrel and sent it to the owner. As far as I know it never did get engraving. With the right engraving artist this one will be a show winner I think. http://knifedogs.com/showthread.php?25035-Matchlock-Axe-Pistol/page47

    Jesse James

Looks pretty nice. Did you make it for momma? forged? I like the traction grid in front of the scales. You sure those scales will stay on? I can't see fasteners.

    Jesse James

Thats a wild idea Rex. It could be done though, I would think a 1911 from Jesse with the right side scale as a removable fixed blade single edged push dagger. :)
