    A friend has one that he just did the 'nose' welded to a 5 inch round.

    Gas forge

    I have a vertical Uncle Al’s forge and I filled the bottom full to soak it up. Easy to scoop out and remove! I also keep it around for any oil spill. Just cover the spill up , leave for a while then scoop up. Spill removed.

    Fritzo same problem here. Rotten skin. I can bump something and tear my skin and bleed for a while. i keep Neosporin and band aids in the shop. Worst I have done was on a drill press.     I’ve done them as described but used small all thread to stick through the holes. A cut off screw works as well.
