Well I know that D2 is a good candidate for edge retention and polishes up really well. Lol Im trying to get a few knives made from 01 to send to ht and decide what works best all around for my area of the state.

It is pretty beefy and a lil viscious looking. Is kinda cool the logo has the appearance of moving thanks to the few sanding marks in the guard going cross wise.

I havent waxed any but was suggested ren wax or a good quality carnuba wax.

That is some awesome looking wood. The hamon is strong yet subtle as it is so it should really pop after polishing the lower bevel. I'm wondering why you thin down the true oil? Have only started using it for two knives as is. Does it cure a little faster when thinned?
