So after some practice on this machine I did my first sheath yesterday, and my first pancake style, for a small skinner I recently finished. I think it came out ok except for a few small issues, a couple stitches in the top left corner look a little wonky...I need to get better at turning on...

On your next one you should make the hook a little wider CD. for anything other than thin skinned whitetails that hook might not cut too good. especially hogs that are all mucked up with dirt and mud. I use a round file to start it but then go back with diamond files to thin out the radius and...

Yep, it's 3/4". it can sew thicker but I'm satisfied with that sample there ha ha. I don't plan on sewing at least anything thicker than that. I think I could fit about a full inch under the needle though. I'm using a #25 needle and 277 thread.
