    Yep, I need a bigger vacuum chamber, just googled it a few minutes ago. I don't think you will get a good look with saw dust. Do you guys run a chipper at the saw mill?

    Haha! I am still working out my process, I am getting alot of air bubbles in the casting. This all started after I stabilized some OSB plywood and put it on a knife, I have been experimenting with different size chips, resins and epoxy . This is the OSB handle.

    I actually age the logs for at least a year, outside and covered. So the shavings come when I am chainsawing the logs into blocks that I cut into scales. This go around, I cut pecan, walnut, cedar and the wild plum.

    This is my latest set of scales that I made. I put them on a 1084 chefs knife and my small personal carry. The small knife is 1084 and 15N20. I Make the handle material with shavings from the wood. Make sure you zoom in on the handle pictures!

    If you can dye the sheath a dark color that will go with the knife, those little slip ups don't show up as bad. I have learned that from experience. That is a great looking knife!
