    Stencil Printer?

I have the same issue, I've made a few on my silhouette 3 as well and had problems with small pieces. But it does work good as a stencil once you stick it to the blade

Is there a scandinavian knifemaker forum?

Sweden comes in 2nd as best non-native English speakers..the Dutch take that one hands down, they almost sound American lol

Is there a scandinavian knifemaker forum?

And to add, I'm not sure about the rest of the Scandinavian countries but I know for a fact that they get 8 years of English in school. So you shouldn't have any issues with getting an answer in English. One of the hardest things about me trying to learn Swedish when I lived there was that as...

Is there a scandinavian knifemaker forum?

Here is one in Swedish that chrome will translate for you. I speak Swedish as a 2nd language, so I have a little advantage. Sometimes the translations are very literal and not perfect.. https://knivforum.proboards.com/

What goes with your knife package?

I keep it pretty simple, not too creative. I like some of these ideas though...might be changing it up. All of my knives get a zipper case, a few business cards, a knife care card, and a bottle of edci to protect the blade. Good thing about edci, is that it is food safe. There website says $5...

    Enco surface grinder

You can always get a kbac vfd for it to convert it to 3 phase, or a little cheaper option would be to get a phase converter. Just make sure the phase converter matches the hp of the motor

    Enco surface grinder

If it doesn't have the chuck it can give you some leverage to talk them down a bit :)

    Jeremy Bartlett's KITH for Bossdog!

Ok guys...been a while but I haven't forgot about @BossDog kith knife. I wanted to try something different since I'm supposed to be challenging myself, so I used a material I bought 4 years ago and had been saving for when i make some slipjoints. This is genuine Westinghouse micarta, what a lot...

OK.....Since we're on the subject of breaking things... may be disturbing

Nickel is tough! Glad it didn't put you out of commission for long. That would have sucked

    Widenening twist damascus billet?

Yeah, I'm thinking I'm gonna try that on these. A hammer would make that part so much easier. But what I will try to do it rotate it around on my flat dies, then hand hammer the rest. Appreciate the input

    Widenening twist damascus billet?

Thanks guys for the help. I'm going to weld up the stacks tonight and hopefully be twisting tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes. Ed, I wish I had a hammer, just don't have room for one until I build my new shop. I know when I am ready for one its going to be a challenge finding one in good...

    Silly Question -- Mill Scale?

I always grind off mill scale. Another reason to do so it that the bar stock you get is never 100% flat, and you always want to have that flat foundation to start to make sure you are in proportion. I do this with my disc grinder but you could also use your platen lengthwise

    Widenening twist damascus billet?

This message is directed to Ed, but instead of talking to him privately I'd rather put it in here in case it helps someone else out or maybe someone other than Ed has some input. I'm going to be making a couple of twisted w damascus billets this weekend and my issue is that both blades I'm going...

    AEB-L Heat treat

Definitely grind after heat treat on something that thin...also having it flat makes sure the whole blade cools evenly when you put it between your quench plates.
