You can double them, and if you finish it up nice, you won’t see the line.

That’s exactly what I do to get a knife “razor” sharp... this is what I call functionally sharp. What I mean here is sharp sharp lol.

Get a big garbage can and a bunch of steel. Fill the garbage can up to the top with ruined blades. By the time you get there, your bevels will look beautiful. That’s the only thing that worked for me.

That is fantastic. File work is one of my favorite things to do. Very crisp and clean... if it’s too perfect, starts to look fake.
