I don't grind my welds......unless they are super ugly! But for surface prep I use 3M Cubitron or Diablo tigerpaws/flap discs. If you are referring to the knobs, motor mount, and handle where I ground the plug welds flush, I used 36 and 60 grit 2x42" EdgeCore ceramic belts from Red Label...
