Little caution. 1075 is not the same as 1080/1084. It is a bit more shallow hardening because it has less manganese.. 1095 even more so. 52100 is going to be more finicky in the HT. I have never used 80CrV2, but it has a lot of very experienced fans. 8670 has tested out as one of the toughest...

So why do we have 220/20 for things like old window unit air conditioners and a number of kilns? I have a 24 inch Paragon and it is still 220/20. I know that would be like a 110/40 which is probably a bit much for a single hot leg.

Not AEB-L. Similar German steel. At least one heat treater says tell them if it is Aldo steel because it requires a slight modification in the process. I suspect that 13C26 is the same because it is also slightly different. The stuff from Alpha is supposedly not from a coil.
