    Yes it's patina. Meat, potatoes and onions often leave blue/purple patina.

    Field/utility folder

    I just finished up this folder that utilizes materials and finishes that might be more conducive to daily rough work. W2 steel blade with French patina, black/gray g-10 scales, jeweled titanium lock and liners, black g-10 backspacer, deep carry pocket clip. 3 1/4" blade, 4 1/8" closed.

    This was a particularly difficult knife to photograph well, and the pictures show that. It actually is thicker 1084 and many layers of thinner 1084/15n20. Here's a better pic of the blade.

    I just finished this nice little fixed blade. 1084/15n20 tiger stripe Damascus. Insane stabilized buckeye burl scales. 7" overall, 3 1/8" blade.

    Thanks guys. Thank you. I appreciate your kind words. I make my own Damascus. It's forged crushed w's then laddered. Steels are 1084 and 15n20. I have Claude Scott make all my leather sheaths. He is a real pro in the leather work arena and can offer a sheath that really compliments my knives...

    Here's a sweet little hunter I just finished. This is pretty compact but still a lot of blade and fully capable. Forged blade of 1084/15n20 Damascus. Black g-10 guardcand collar. Fileworked bronze accents. Oil finished curly Claro walnut handle. 4 1/4" blade, 8 3/4" overall.
