    Small forced Burner

I agree. Not sure what the current YouTube policy is, but you aught to be able to monetize them, too! Edit: I know that for a while they wanted at least X number (1,000?) subscribers before you could monetize your videos.

    Small forced Burner

I was able to make the Facebook link load. I had to erase the "m." prefix from the URL. You'd think it'd just redirect from the mobile site to the normal one... Guess not. NICE FORGE!!!

What's going on in your shop?

Nice! I've seen some other members on here with a rolling belt rack. You could possibly do something like that or maybe have the 2X6 spaced off the wall 3 or so inches and hinged on one end. Then you could store less used or surplus belts on the back side of it. Sent from my Champion Forge...

What's going on in your shop?

Nope. Everything you're looking at is done freehand. I drilled the hole with a cordless drill in the vise. I sized the drill bit shank by chucking it in a cordless drill and grinding it on a belt grinder with a 120 grit belt. I always like to add a twist to the body of my punches. Gives it a...

What's going on in your shop?

I couldn't find my good center punch the other day and the one I was using wasn't hard enough for the steel I was working with. So, as one does, I made a new one! I liked it enough that I made another one for my neighbor. I sent a picture of it to a few of my friends and asked if they wanted one...

    Different "Colors" of Metal Smiths

So, I've hear the term "blacksmith" used to describe pretty much anyone who forges metal. But, not all smiths are blacksmiths. Someone asked a question about what a whitesmith is on a website and they got what I think is a pretty interesting answer. Not sure how true it is, but it makes sense...

    Large piece of Bubinga

I'm not super crazy about safety stuff, but I feel like a grinder guard is a good idea whenever you can. Frankly, I DO use my grinder without a guard sometimes, but generally, it stays on. I'd be willing to bet you can find a guard for that machine. You don't need it for sanding disks and I...

    Early Christmas gift

LOL I do that pretty often. Edit: 2020 isn't that old. I've posted stuff on threads from 20 years ago. LOL Not on this forum, but on some others. Really feel like a goof when you see that the OP hasn't even posted to the thread in a decade. Sent from my Champion Forge using Tapatalk

I mean, it's not super figured or whatever, but it looks like a pretty piece of wood. Sent from my Champion Forge using Tapatalk

    Large piece of Bubinga

Nice! Depending on what RPM that "sander" runs at, you might be able to get a guard for it and some grinding wheels. Flap disks, hard stones (grinding wheels), flap wheels, whatever. Sent from my Champion Forge using Tapatalk

A little more fun with CAD

Also - I'll have to check, but I may have some interesting knives for you to put into CAD. Or, maybe I'll put them into CAD and share the files? I dunno. What are the switch blade laws down there? :) Sent from my Champion Forge using Tapatalk

A little more fun with CAD

I absolutely see where you're coming from. Autodesk used to offer F360 for free FOR HOBBYISTS. Well, I guess the bean counters stepped in. It's still free, just more limited. I understand their reasoning. SolidWorks has a program you can sign up for if you're a "start-up". They give you...

Looking for input on possible anvil stand and anvil

Not sure how much difference this really makes, but I oiled my base and charred it with a torch. If nothing else, I think it's aesthetically pleasing. Sent from my Champion Forge using Tapatalk

I probably should've consolidated these links to one post... oops. :) The previous two links are just to stock so you can make your own. Here's a link to "ring shims". Steel, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless... McMaster-Carr Page: https://www.mcmaster.com/Shims/ring-shims-7 Sent from my...

Looking for input on possible anvil stand and anvil

My anvil stand is a section of white oak log. It's maybe 26" diameter at the top and flares out at the bottom. Weighs about 300 or maybe 350 pounds. I drove 4 large bolts into the top and bent them over the feet of the anvil. It's really stable. I actually have a 4" swivel base vise that I have...

A little more fun with CAD

The thing that I really like about Fusion, is that you can (for a price), run all of your simulations and renders on Auto Desk's servers. I would run all of my simulations on a component at once on their servers and still have my computer free'd up to do other stuff. Since I'm using a laptop...
