Plasma cutter

Bought a cheap Plasma cutter. Been wanting one for a while but really forging knives no reason to buy one! Well I finally bought it! LOL! Bestarc Cut-55. So far works fantastic for what I've been doing! No knife stuff with it yet but been doing some metal art stuff as well as Jack-O-Cans for Halloween. Just having so.e fun. It will be great for breaking down larger pieces of stock for knives. They say it will clean cut 1/2" and shear cut 4/5"? IDK if I believe that but it should do everything I want??

Impressive, and I'm impressed at the price also. Isn't this the one you have: https://a.co/d/d2aZEBi

I just spent a few minutes (more than a few:) understanding the difference between the 55A vs 55P vs 55XP and for the $50 or so extra the 55XP sure seems the way to go. Boy, I'd LOVE to order one of those to play with, but I've got a cutting torch rig I've used for many years that does all I really need...... Of course, perhaps a person could attach the Plasma torch to a CNC and do really NICE cutting of patterns?

Dont know if ever will happen but the CNC Table is what i would love to do. One of the reason I didn't get the High Frequency cutter!

I have also been thinking about buying a plasma cutter, but I am a little hesitant as I probably won't use it much after I buy it.
Yeah I get it. I will say the new cheap ones are very resonable. I paid only $160 on Amazon made 4 Jack-O-Cans for Halloween. I sold all the Jack-O-Cans for $45 each and paid for it! Like this one so not even knife related and like I said its paid for.

That's pretty slick - you took a flat sheet metal, cut the pattern, painted the inside black, the outside orange, then Nope, it looks like old propane gas cylinders you cut out? Now that's thinking!
