New tariff impact on materials

KNIFE MAKER
Not looking to discuss pros and cons or get political, just wondering if anyone is seeing prices being affected yet? There are a lot of supplies we use that are imported, steel and abrasives being a couple important ones (some steel comes from Germany and I know Rhynowet comes from Portugal).

I just placed my biggest steel order yet in anticipation, and I'm considering doing the same for abrasives/belts. Maybe the impact won't be as big for a part-time/hobbyist maker, but I'm sure it will still be felt.

Anyone else thinking about this?

Not really a concern for me I guess, but I don’t do enough knives right now for it to be an issue.

I've been buying steel when it presents itself at decent prices for years. For as few knives as I currently make, I have enough in backstock to not be very worried.
It will be interesting to see if the "scavenged" steel blades for sale increases over the near term.
