Small Bowie in Damascus and Stag

Credit for the beautiful damascus billet goes to Benjy forum member and friend.
I have a few more tweaks to do but it's essentially finished for photo op. I need to take Ed's advise and get out the magnifying glasses to make sure all the bugs are off - just kidding - still lots of fit and finish improvements to make. My wife has claimed this one and is going to donate it to a online auction next month ( Hospice ). The blade is 5-3/16" long and the handle right at 4". The buttcap is Dion damascus. Critque and feedback is always welcome.

Very, very nice! All the materials complement one another, with outstanding workmanship.
How about posting the online auction link & date, just in case one of us might like to own that knife?

I’ll post as soon as I receive the info - thanks!

One thing I notice...there seems to be skill/art to "finding" the handle in the antler. (usually the only reason I don't like some antler handles)

You nailed it.

Thanks- I’ve been lucky is all. I certainly look at a lot of pet store antler. If I find apiece that I think will work I get it and set it aside.

Thank you Chris. Have you used the one from the Christmas exchange much?
Its one of my favorites for sure. It has become my camp knife. I have an old school gun belt which has my .357, two speed strips and the bowie that stays on the belt. All I have to do is put it on and go. I had a .41 magnum on the belt but it was too stinking heavy and it would rupture my ear drum every time I fired it without muffs. It had to go.
